Contest Rules
The following are basic contest rules for any/all contest, for Habitat for Humanity Leeward Oahu (Leeward Habitat). Each contest may have its own special qualifications and eligibility rules, in which case, a separate list of rules will be available for public inspection.
Contests are open to all Hawaii residents unless otherwise specified by Habitat for Humanity Leeward Oahu. Contests are limited to one entry per person / per household unless otherwise stated.
All winners acknowledge, as a condition of entry, that Leeward Habitat, has the right to publicize his/her name.
All prizes (or applicable certificate thereof) must be claimed in person, and signed for by the winner, upon presentation of proper identification. (Drivers license, State I.D., Passport). Designated “winner” representatives will be allowed to claim prizes in another’s behalf, upon written and telephone confirmation.
Prizes or any accumulation of prizes within one (1) year equaling $600 or more will be reported by Leeward Habitat to the Internal Revenue Service as required by law. Winners understand and agree they are responsible for all taxes incurred on prizes received.
All prizes, unless otherwise specified by Leeward Habitat must be claimed within (30) days of winning, between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays at Leeward Habitat office located at 91-291 Kalaeloa Blvd, Kapolei, HI 96707.
Leeward Habitat will not presume to notify winners of the time remaining on their winnings. It is the winner’s responsibility to claim their prize within the specified time frame. Leeward Habitat will not mail out prizes to any winners.
Leeward Habitat will not, to unavailability of prizes awarded, substitute another prize, of equal value, for that which was originally won.
All prizes are non-transferable.
Once a prize is released it becomes the sole responsibility of the winner and will not be replaced if lost or stolen.
All contest entries become the property of Leeward Habitat. No purchase necessary to play/win. Void where prohibited by law. Rules are subject to change without notice. All decisions are final by Leeward Habitat.
